While farmers and ranchers often keep their livestock and equipment in fine running order, the same can't always be said for their barns and workshops which are often in disarray.
When adding a new shed, barn, shop or warehouse, producers need to decide the type of construction before they selected a construction crew. In recent years post frame buildings, also known as pole buildings, have grown in popularity, and for good reason.
Dan Swartz has been growing sugarbeets for more than 30 years and is part of the four-state Western Sugar Co-op. He raises sugarbeets, malt barley, corn, alfalfa and cattle in Ballentine, Mont., 25 miles east of Billings.
