Monday, August 11, 2008 3:01 PM MDT

DOUGLAS, Wyo. - University of Wyoming President Tom Buchanan and UW College of Agriculture Dean Frank Galey are scheduled to attend the Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo on Wednesday, Aug. 13, in Douglas, Wyo.

Buchanan and Galey are hosting an ice cream social open to the public from 2-3 p.m. at the College of Agriculture booth in the Ag and Natural Resource Center.

They will tour the state fair from 3-4 p.m., and Buchanan is scheduled to present awards to winners of the Champion of Champions Market Lamb Challenge starting at 4 p.m.

“The college is bringing a number of displays highlighting current research and programs, including aquaculture, fetal programming, human nutrition, spider silk studies, small-acreage management and many others,” said Anne Leonard, director of the College of Agriculture’s Ag Development and College Relations.
